Inside the gated oceanfront community and set up on the hill overlooking
Kapoho is a charming two-bedroom vacation rental cottage on a large private lot
with ocean views over lava rock. The owners have done a beautiful job refurbishing
this house. You enter through french doors complete with glass knobs to find high
ceilings and an open floor plan. The floors and kitchen countertops are richly tiled
and almost all furnishings are new. This light and airy home will lull you into
a relaxed state as you watch the waves crash up on shore in the distance.
The living area is a large open space with window seats and lots of
windows to let in the light. The home has two bedrooms and one bath. One bedroom
is on the main floor, the other is up a spiral staircase in the loft with views
out to the ocean. Both bedrooms have queen beds. The large bath has a shower and
there is a washer and dryer for your use. High-speed Internet service (wireless
or Ethernet) is provided for your convenience.
Kapoho Heights is tucked away in its own private space, but you are close
to all the interesting snorkeling areas in Kapoho. This vacation rental has easy
accessibility to Kapoho Bay and the ocean. Crystal-clear, geothermally heated
tidal lagoons for swimming and snorkeling are within walking distance. The water
is a mix of heated, fresh spring water and sea water, and the water temperature
is usually a wonderfully comfortable 90 degrees.
A large outdoor lanai is perfect for watching the sunrise or for relaxing
at the end of the day. The yard has many exotic tropical plants and some fruit
trees. The house offers the most privacy of any Kapoho vacation rental we know
about. If you want to experience Kapoho but want your own private space, this
is the place!
Ahalanui, also known as the “Hot Pond,” is a 10-minute
drive. Ahalanui is a popular oceanfront county park where you can safely swim (it
has a lifeguard), picnic, and enjoy the beauty of the Puna Coast. The little town
of Pahoa with shops and restaurants is about 15 minutes away, and Hilo is a
40-minute drive.

Kapoho Heights has a 3-night minimum stay. Rates do not include 11.4166% Hawaii
